TCSC member Doug Bermingham headed out for an afternoon of bonefishing on the flats of Ambergris Cay with his guide Capt. Greg Rahe. We headed to the turtle grass flat below the safari tents aptly named LOG flat (land of the giants). No big schools of bonefish here. Just huge single and double bonefish feeding in the beautiful turtle grass for clams, crabs, and shrimp. After poling into the shallows, we spied a solitary single, happily tailing in 10 inches of water. Doug made an incredible cast and it was off to the races. After two back to back runs of 100 yards plus, we had the big bone doing circles around the boat. A huge fish of 9 ½ pounds, that has now been nicknamed, 'Bonezilla.' Wow, congratulations Doug!
