Evans ChildrenAlgae DissectionAlgae dissection is one of the new activities offered for members of all ages by the Naturalist's here at the Sporting Club and, so far, it has been a big hit! Algae around Ambergris Cay are a great habitat for young sea life. When dissecting the algae here, you can find mud grabs, brittle stars, mantis shrimp, pistol shrimp, medusa worms, hermit crabs among many other tiny sea creatures. Algae shelter and protect these animals from larger fish and also provide ample food. We love putting on programs like this because it helps connect members of all ages with the habitat we share with the wildlife here on Ambergris Cay...plus, it's a lot of fun! To schedule an Algae Dissection for your family, contact the Sporting Club Concierge at: concierge at ambergriscay dot com
