T.J. Jett Joins Turks & Caicos Sporting Club at Ambergris Cay as Naturalist
December 2006. Ambergris Cay, British West Indies: Turks & Caicos Sporting Club at Ambergris Cay is pleased to announce T.J. Jett as staff Naturalist. Mr. Jett will develop historical and ecological programs for the Environmental Learning Center and provide expert instruction for an array of activities.
Mr. Jett, a Hilton Head, South Carolina native, brings a broad array of experience with him. Prior to joining the Sporting Club, he was the Naturalist and kayak guide for Blue Planet Kayaking in Key West Florida and dive master for Underseas, Inc. in Big Pine Key, Florida. A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Marine Science, Mr. Jett has also conducted research for the Marine & Aquatic Research Experience (M.A.R.E.) and published several articles on marine life. He is a PADI-certified dive master and lifeguard and certified in adult and child CPR and first aid. In 2002, he spent time in South Caicos as an intern for the Center for Marine Resources Studies.
