Turks & Caicos Sporting Club at Ambergris Cay Named “Best Caribbean Property of the Year”
November 2006, Ambergris Cay, BWI: Turks & Caicos Sporting Club at Ambergris Cay, a private residential island and sporting club, was named “Best Caribbean Property of the Year” by Caribbean World as part of the magazine’s 2006 International Travel and Property Awards.
In addition, the Turks & Caicos Islands were also recognized as this year’s most romantic destination and “Honeymoon Island of the Year.”
The awards ceremony, presented by BBC TV Broadcaster Dermot Murnaghan and hosted by Gigi Morley, was held on Thursday, November 9 at The Four Seasons Hotel in London.
The International Travel and Property Awards recognize excellence in travel and real estate throughout the Caribbean region. This award marks the second consecutive year that Turks & Caicos Sporting Club at Ambergris Cay has been recognized. Last year, Caribbean World named the Sporting Club the 2005 “Best Development of the Year.”
